William L. Crossey
(September 20, 1934 - August 19, 2005)
The Hamilton Chess Club lost a staunch supporter and avid player when Bill Crossey passed away on August 19, 2005. Bill was the owner of "Bill's Aquarium" on Hamilton Avenue, in Hamilton when I first met him some 24 years ago. Since that time we laughed and traded many silly stories. He was one of those special people whom you come to admire over the years. In my last big life transition, he showed me his philosophical side, which brought me to tears. He was completely blown away when he was informed that he won the "Major Upset Trophy" in this year's Club Championship - Reserve Section. I'll miss you Bill ... we'll miss you! He is survived by his wife Mary.

Ed Paul
It is with great sorrow that we announce that yet another
person associated with us has died this year. Many of you probably never knew this gentleman, but he was one of the 5 founding members of this club. Ed Paul, age 79 passed away on 6-5-97. He had moved to Iowa a few years back and we had all lost contact with him. His obituary was published in the Trentonian Newspaper this morning (June 18, 1997).
Marge Krauss
It is with deep sorrow and regret that we announce the tragic death of member Marge Krauss on
Friday, January 10, 1997. While returning from a trip to Atlantic City, Marge and George's car was hit on the drivers side killing Marge and seriously injuring George.
The family asked that a contribution be made to the personal charity or organization of the donor's choice in lieu of flowers. The Hamilton Chess Club made a donation to the US Chess Trust. If you wish to do the same send your check to the following address.
